As part of our commitment to providing education and information about investing, ASX runs two Sharemarket games every year. 

In addition to being able to test the market with the Game, we also provide easy-to-understand information and updates on market conditions, investment strategies, and how to get started.

Sharemarket Game 2, 2023 - Registrations now open

Test your investment smarts! The Game gives you an opportunity to learn about the sharemarket and how it works. You get $50,000 in virtual cash to buy and sell shares in 300+ companies listed on ASX using live prices in simulating real sharemarket conditions. The Game now also provides you with exposure to 55 ETFs and 5 LICs to diversify your portfolio.

You can participate as an individual or as a league group with a chance to win prizes for the top-performing portfolios. 

University students (18 years old or over) registering for the Game with a valid university email address, are eligible to also compete for the best-performing university portfolio.

Registrations will close on October 12
Trading will run from August 10 to November 23

Registrations will open on 20 July.
Trading will run from 17 August to 26 October.

Students receive $50,000 in virtual cash to invest over a 10-week period and use live market conditions to test their resolve, skills, and knowledge of the markets.
