Reviews and submissions

On 27 February 2019, the ASX Corporate Goverance Council issued:

  • a communique
  • the fourth edition of the Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations
  • a document entitled Consultation Response
  • a marked up version of the fourth edition showing the changes made to the consultation version, and
  • a marked up version of the fourth edition showing the changes made to the third edition.

This followed a public consultation process that began on 2 May 2018, when the ASX Corporate Governance Council released for public comment:

  • a communique
  • a consultation paper entitled Review of the ASX Corporate Governance Council's Principles and Recommendations
  • a consultation draft of a proposed fourth edition of the Principles and Recommendations
  • a mark-up of the consultation draft against the third edition of the Principles and Recommendations

The consultation period closed on 27 July 2018. Council received 100 submissions (8 on a confidential basis). The non-confidential submissions were received from:

  • the third edition of the Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations
  • a document entitled Consultation Response
  • a marked-up version of the third edition showing the changes made to the consultation version, and
  • translation tables showing the linkages between the new recommendations in the third edition and the former recommendations in the second edition, and vice versa.

This followed a public consultation process that began on 16 August 2013, when the ASX Corporate Governance Council released for public comment:

  • a communique 
  • a consultation paper entitled Review of the Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations
  • a draft of the proposed third edition of the Principles and Recommendations
  • a copy of the second edition of the Principles and Recommendations for comparison, and
  • translation tables showing the linkages between the proposed new recommendations in the third edition and the existing recommendations in the second edition, and vice versa.

The consultation period closed on 15 November 2013.  Council received 69 submissions (5 on a confidential basis). The non-confidential submissions were received from:
