New website FAQs

We committed to providing the world's leading financial marketplace. The new ASX website is a significant step in upgrading the digital experiences for our customers.

Our future focus is to build a digital experience that meets your needs.  We are doing this by:

• making information easy to find and understand
• providing new features and functions to help you perform achieve your goals
• aligning new digital standards for website design, content an development. 

While we are transitioning to the new site, the existing website (asx.com.au), will continue to run in parallel with our new site (www2.asx.com.au). We will let you know in advance when we move permanently to our new digital home. We are mindful that our users will need time to get used to the new navigation. Please fill in the feedback from that can be found via the tab on the side of the pages, if you have any comments or qusetions.

The new website has been built on a modern platform. It works more efficiently on a range of devices such as mobile phones, touch screen devices as well as on laptops and desktop computers.

We have streamlined the content so that information is easy to read and easy to find on the new site. You will still be able to find all the information you need on the new website including your watch lists, market announcements, company searches and education modules.

The search functionality on the new site has also been updated and you will be able to do searches that will deliver detailed search results. 

In the coming months the secure section of the website will be migrated to the new environment. If you have an existing profile, you will be notified in advance as you will need to create a new profile.

This is because our new website has been built on a new technical platform and as a result you will need to create new login details on your first visit to the site.  You will still be recognised once you’ve logged in and for the majority of visitors items - like your watch lists - will still be available on the new website. 

The website address may look slightly different for a period as we transition over to our new platform and you may notice that the address for the new site appears as www2.asx.com.au

When we decommission the existing site (asx.com.au), your bookmarks should automatically redirect to relevant pages in the new site. However, we recommend that you keep note of where your favourite pages are so that you can find them in the new site, or do a search for it.

Information such as prices can be found in the 'Markets' section of the website. You will be able to search for companies in this section by clicking on 'Company directory' in the drop-down menu. 

Announcements can also be found by clicking on the 'Markets' tab from the drop down menu.

To conduct a company search, simply click on the 'Markets' tab at the top of the page and select 'Company directory'. This will bring up a summary page featuring an overview of the ASX 200.

Type the company code or name into the search bar at the top of the page and this will provide you detailed company information including:

• a summary of the company’s trading performance
• interactive charts
• share information
• trading volumes
• recent company announcements
• peer analysis
• general information about the company.  

Alternatively, you can do a search via the Search function that can be found in the top right hand corner of any page.

We are in the process of updating our online courses. You can find courses on Shares Options, ETFs and ETPs, and other helpful tools under Investors > Investment tools and resources.

Your feedback is important to us and you can share your comments by completing the feedback tab that will appear on the right hand side of the website screen.

From time to time, you may also be prompted to provide a rating of the website when you exit the site.
